6 Orchards to Visit Near Austin to Pick Your Pumpkins, Apples, and More: If you’ve been out pumpkin picking and are now filled with the urge to continue, we’ve got you covered. Pumpkins aren’t the only great thing to get out and pick in the fall, there are tons of delicious fruits! Here are some of our favorite orchards near Austin for all your fruit needs.

Pea Community Farms and Urban Gardens

2200 Berkeley Ave, Austin, TX 78745

The PEAS Community Farm & Urban Orchard began in 2011 when educators, students, parents, and community members came together at Cunningham Elementary in South Austin to foster relationships and foster sustainability, and responsibility through experiential learning.
A community garden of 2,400 square feet can be developed. Membership is open to the public on a sliding scale of $10-$50 per member/family. This community farm is cultivated collectively by all members, volunteers, and the school community. Your membership helps with the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of the farm and allows you to “pick your own” at your leisure harvest concessions

    Boogie Creek Farm

3414 Lyons Rd., Austin, TX 78702

Boogie Creek has a ton in the season right now. Although they are currently less heavy on fruit, these vegetables are so deliciously fresh that everyone will want to eat them. You’ll find arugula, kale, squash, and several varieties of peppers for that extra kick. They also offer a great selection of meats sourced from nearby farms.

    Sweet Eights Fruit Farm

    14400 E State Hwy 29, Georgetown, TX 78626

Right now, pumpkin picking is in full swing at Sweet Eats, but they have a few other treats too! They are currently growing strawberries, and they also have peaches, nectarines and cherries throughout the year. It’s some of the best fruit around, and we all know how hard it is to find those perfect nectarines.

    Austin Gardens

2914 Caldwell Ln, Del Valle, TX 78617

Austin Orchards is a family-owned orchard located just outside of Austin. They will have a great selection of oranges coming soon. And they are also a great place to pick peaches, plums, pears, and watermelons! They even team up with Lick Ice Cream to create some of their amazing flavors.

    Love Creek Gardens

    14024 TX-16 N, Medina, TX 78055

Low Creek also has a full crop of pumpkins right now, but in their every day, they have apples. These aren’t just any apples, they’re nice and sweet. Perfect for baking apple pies or making jam. And, if you don’t feel like doing it yourself, when you’re done picking apples you can take home some of the more than 50 different apple products they offer!

    Janeske Gardens

    8301 US-290, Fredericksburg, TX 78624

Janeske Orchards has a fairly reliable harvest time. They do strawberries and blackberries in the spring and summer and peaches most of the year. They have some amazing pumpkins right now (perfect for making pumpkin pie or pumpkin ice cream!) He also offers some really exciting ones — starting in November you can start looking for the perfect Christmas tree!
